Gulf Coast Humanists Year-to-Date Actions 2025

• Held several shelf stable food drives for local immigrant families

• Held several meat drives for local immigrant families

• Held a community garage sale with all proceeds going to local immigrant food pantry

• Provided two gift baskets to the TRANS Program silent auction

• Provided meals for The TRANS Program teen social event

• Attended The TRANS Program benefit concert in Bay St Louis

• Tabled at The TRANS Program Trans Day of Remembrance in Jackson

• Tabled at No Kings 1 and No Kings 2 Protests in Gulfport

• Tabled at Gulf Coast Equality Fest and helped set up the festival

• Hosted dozens of meetings, social events, and community-building events for atheists/agnostics/humanists on the Coast

• The Gulf Coast Humanists organization is currently the fastest-growing humanist chapter in the country 

• Attended American Humanist Association Con in June 2025 and was the only chapter to receive an award from American Humanist Association at the conference

• Helped plan and gave a speech at Renee Good vigil in Gulfport (Jan)

• Organized a protest/walk-out in Gulfport in conjunction with Women’s March (Jan)

• Held several meat drives for immigrant families (Jan/Feb)

• Held a shelf-stable food drive for immigrant families (Feb)

• Donated a nacho bar meal to The TRANS Program teen night (March)
